The Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7) will travel up north to face one of the league’s best teams in the Green Bay Packers (6-2) Sunday for a game that could get ugly. With Aaron Rodgers lining up on the opposite end of the ball and the Jags’ defense being ranked 31st overall (27th against the pass), many analysts aren’t high on the Jags’ chances — and right fully so.

Of course, as always we’ve gathered some predictions of our own at Jags Wire as the Cardiac Cats enter the brutal second half of their schedule. Here is how we see things going down Sunday afternoon as rookie Jake Luton tries to go toe-to-toe with Rodgers at the legendary Lambeau Field:

James Johnson (@Sportsgrind_Don): Packers 31, Jaguars 21

The Jags have kept it interesting their last two games, giving fans a bit of entertainment while also remaining in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes. I mean, what more could fans ask for, right?

I think this one could be close, but due to the weather as the winds are projected to hit the 24 mile per hour range. If they rely on James Robinson and follow the trend of getting him 20 carries or more as they should, they can keep this game in range though a win is unlikely.

Phil Smith (@PhiltheFilipino): Packers 35 Jaguars 17

The weather conditions in Green Bay are going to be very similar to the way this season has gone for the Jaguars, just downright miserable. However, it’s conditions like these in which a team with a power running back can possibly find some success, which means the Jags might have a slim chance thanks to James Robinson. We’ve seen the Jags keep things interesting in the last few weeks, but I expect Aaron Rodgers to carve up this secondary. The Packers have outscored opponents by 40 points in the second quarter this season, so expect it to get out of reach relatively early. From that point on, fans should have the luxury to gauge if they want to keep watching.

Daniel Griffis (@DanDGriffis): Packers 34, Jaguars 16

The outlook for Jacksonville looks bleak as the Jake Luton led Jaguars meet the Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Jags are without Linder, Shenault, and Lambo, making Luton’s job increasingly difficult against the future Hall of Fame quarterback. Green Bay is without star cornerback, Jaire Alexander, but I don’t see how Luton keeps this offense on track for enough points to out duel Rodgers.

Robert Ricks (@rrickswriting): Packers 31, Jaguars 21

The Jaguars will have a really tough task at Lambeau Field with some really brutal weather expected. Aaron Rodgers is on an MVP tear, but the Jaguars will surprise in this one keeping it below two touchdowns but still coming up short.

Jacob DeLawrence (@_Jdela): Packers 34 Jaguars 24

The Jags take the trip up north to the sort of frozen tundra that is Lambeau field. The Jags are currently on a seven game losing streak that has included inconsistencies from all sides of the ball each week. This Jags also serves as a reunion of sorts as tight end Marcedes Lewis will take on the Jags for the first time since being releases. Expect Aaron Rodgers and the Pack to win a game that will somehow be closer than it should be.

Will Frost (@willfrost_): Packers 34, Jaguars 13

It’s getting tougher and tougher to predict wins every passing week. Jake Luton looked capable in his first NFL start, but it would shock the entire NFL if he was able to pull out a win away at Lambeau Field.

Another game, an another step closer to a top-3 pick. Simply put, I can’t see this one being as enjoyable to watch as the previous two.
