Who will the Jaguars play in 2024? That, at least, we do know.

The NFL has been slowly releasing a few matchups and dates for marquee 2024 games, including the first ever game to be played in Brazil. And reports say the Jaguars will be playing two games in London, just like they did last season. Here's what we know about the 2024 NFL schedule release and who the Jags will play this season:

What day does the NFL schedule get released?

The NFL does not have a set date for when it releases its schedule for the upcoming season. But judging by the past few years, we can guess that the 2024 NFL schedule will come out May 9.

Each of the past three years, the NFL has released its schedule on the second Thursday of May. Here's when the league has released its schedule each year since 2020. We've also thrown in when it's made its announcement about the release date:

Looking at recent years, the NFL will either announce when the schedule will come out either the week before the NFL Draft or a few days before the schedule is released.

When does the NFL start again? When does the Jaguars 2024 season start?

The Jaguars have 10 organized team activities starting Monday, May 20. Preseason games start Thursday, August 1, 2024 with the Houston Texans vs. the Chicago Bears in the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The rest of the preseason games will begin Thursday, August 8.

Week 1 of the 2024 season kicks off Thursday, September 5 with the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs playing an opponent to be determined. On Friday, September 6, the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers will play the first NFL game in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Jaguars will start their 2024 schedule either Sunday, September 8 or Monday, September 9.

Jacksonville Jaguars opponents 2024

The Jags will play the following games as the home team:

• Indianapolis Colts

• Tennessee Titans

• New England Patriots

• New York Jets

• Cleveland Browns

• Green Bay Packers

• Minnesota Vikings

As they have every year since 2013 (except the COVID pandemic season in 2020), the Jaguars will play one of their "home games" at Wembley Stadium in London.

The Jags will play the following games as the road team:

• Indianapolis Colts

• Buffalo Bills

• Miami Dolphins

• Las Vegas Raiders

• Chicago Bears

• Detroit Lions

• Philadelphia Eagles

The Jaguars play nine road games because 2024 is a season in which NFC teams get nine home games. One of the road games is expected to be played in London after an NFL source said the Jags would play two games in London in 2024.
