Jacob Bridgeman shoots 69, leads by 2 strokes at Korn Ferry tourney at Ohio State

Jacob Bridgeman shot a 2-under-par 69 Friday to keep his lead after two rounds of the Korn Ferry Tour's Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship at Ohio State on Thursday.

Bridgeman entered the day leading by two strokes after shooting a 65 on Thursday. After two rounds, he is at 8-under leads by two strokes over Norman Xiong and by three over Max Greyserman and Chris Petefish.

Xiong shot a 4-under 67 Friday, tying Joe Highsmith and David Skinns for the day's best score.

Bridgeman carded three birdies and one bogey on Friday.

A 23-year-old former Clemson player, Bridgeman is seeking his first Korn Ferry win. He entered the tournament ranked 12th on the tour and has four top-five and seven top-10 finishes. The top 30 earn PGA Tour cards, and there is one event left on the schedule after Columbus.

Bridgeman had one of the most decorated golf careers in Clemson history. He tied Chris Patton and D.J. Trahan with a Clemson-record five tournament victories, including at the ACC Championship. He was named the ACC Golfer of the Year.

Ben Kohles, who is No. 1 on the Korn Ferry rankings, shot an even-par 71 Friday and is at 1-over and in 40th place.
