One of the best running backs in the Big Ten is leaving school early for the next level.

Iowa’s Tyler Goodson is declaring for the 2022 NFL draft, and will skip the Hawkeyes’ bowl game, he announced via social media Friday.

Listed at 5-9, 199 pounds, Goodson rushed for a career-high 1,151 yards in 2021, adding six touchdowns on the ground. He averaged 4.5 yards a carry this season, and tallied 247 receiving yards.

NFL teams are always looking for quality backs in the middle rounds of the draft, and Goodson has the talent to be a productive pro right away in the right situation.
