Introducing The News-Press 2023 Boys All-Area Golf Team

At the end of each season, The News-Press selects All-Area teams honoring the best athletes for every sport. Coaches from area schools are sent nomination forms and are asked to nominate and rate their own athletes as well as those from other teams. That data combined with The News-Press' own research led to the selection of the All-Area teams.

FIRST TEAM

JD Dintino

School: Estero

Year: Senior

Highlights: Dintino tied for fourth place at the District 2A-14 tournament. He also tied for 14^th place at regionals and tied for 39^th place at the Class 2A state tournament.

Easton Green

School: Bishop Verot

Year: Sophomore

Highlights: Green tied for fifth place at the District 1A-12 tournament. He also tied for ninth place at regionals.

Samuel McDonald

School: Fort Myers

Year: Junior

Highlights: McDonald placed first at the District 2A-13 tournament. He also tied for 18^th place at regionals and tied for 43^rd place at the Class 2A state tournament.

Matthew Matta

School: Bishop Verot

Year: Junior

Highlights: Matta placed seventh at the District 2A-13 tournament. He also tied for 18^th place at regionals.

Adin McMaster

School: Estero

Year: Junior

Highlights: McMaster shot a 71 to win the Lee County Athletic Conference tournament. He also tied for sixth place at the District 2A-14 tournament, tied for 14^th place at regionals, and tied for 27^th place at the Class 2A state tournament.

Rylan Stewart

School: Estero

Year: Sophomore

Highlights: Stewart placed ninth at the District 2A-14 tournament. He also tied for 25^th place at regionals and tied for 81^st place at the Class 2A state tournament.

Highlights: Timm guided the Wildcats to a second-place tie at the District 2A-14 tournament and a seventh-place finish at regionals. Estero also finished 13^th at the Class 2A state tournament.
