Evan Trapp, St. Xavier: The University of Alabama commit finished in the top five in seven of his eight races, ran a personal best of 14:59.50, and took 12th place at the state championship meet.

Tom Rapp, Mason: He led the Comets to their third straight Greater Miami Conference title, district and region titles, and a runner-up finish at the state meet.

Jeremy Mosher, Covington Catholic: In the Colonels' first year in Class 2A, Mosher led the team to a team state championship, winning by 89 points over the second-place team.

Evelyn Prodoehl, Lakota West: She won the state championship to cap off an undefeated year. The junior was also the first girl in OHSAA history to run a sub-17 minute time when she ran a time of 16:59.10 at the GMC championships.

Laura Fagan, Mount Notre Dame: Fagan was the GGCL Player of the Year and led the league with 20 assists. She had eight goals in her junior campaign and was named to the Ohio Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Ohio first-team.

Sarah Pisciotta, Mount Notre Dame: Pisciotta led the Cougars back to the state semifinal round for a third straight year. She was named the GGCL Coach of the Year and led Mount Notre Dame to a 13-4-3 season.

Cayse Morgan, Elder: The Elder junior secured the Greater Catholic League South Athlete of the Year before winning both the sectional and district tournaments. At the Division I state tournament, Morgan shot a 142 to finish in a tie for third place.

Justin Martin, Springboro: In his final season as head coach for the Panthers, Martin led Springboro to its third-straight Greater Western Ohio Conference title and sectional and district championships. At the Division I state tournament, Springboro finished in eighth place with a 635.

Finley Bartlett, Wyoming: Bartlett swept the postseason, winning the sectional, district and Division II state championship while being named the Cincinnati Hills League Player of the Year. At the state tournament, Bartlett shot a 146 over two days to win the championship by two strokes.

Coach of the Year

Scott Webb, Wyoming: Webb led Wyoming to a sectional title and district runner-up finish to qualify for state. At the state meet, Wyoming had the individual state champion and finished as team runner-up with a 647 over both days.

Caleb Eaglin, Newport Central Catholic: Eaglin was a runner-up in the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference tournament and tied for 18th at the All “A” Classic. Eaglin also finished as Region 8 runner-up, tied for sixth place in the first round of the KHSAA state tournament and tied for 36th in the finals. The Northern Kentucky University signee was second-team All-State, finishing 17th in the rankings.

Coach of the Year

Austin Zapp, Ryle: Zapp led the Raiders to the NKAC title and the Region 7 championship, beating Covington Catholic by five strokes. The Raiders finished third in the KHSAA first round and seventh in the final round.

Bradley Poppell, Moeller: He had 23 goals and six assists for the Crusaders, who were 24-0-1 and state runner-up. He was Ohio Division I player of the year, Ohio Mr. Soccer and district player of the year, and also named an All-American.

Coach of the Year

Mike Welker, Moeller: He led the Crusaders to a 24-0-1 record and state runner-up. The Crusaders set a state record with 23 straight shutouts and only allowed two goals for the season.

She will graduate as EC’s all-time leading goal scorer. Wismann, an IUPUI commit, had 21 goals and 17 assists. Both shared the honor of EIAC Offensive Most Valuable Player this season, with Hopper picking up her third MVP honor.

Player of the year

Elise Marchal, Kings: She set the school record for kills in a season with 479 while also registering 198 digs, 59 blocks and 58 aces. She was the Eastern Cincinnati Conference Co-Player of the Year, the District Player of the Year, and first-team All-Ohio. In the state championship match, she set an individual record for kills in a three-set match with 28.

Coach of the year

Amanda Meadows, Kings: Meadows led the Knights to a 28-1 record and their first district, regional and state championships. The Knights became the first public school from Cincinnati to win a state title since 1994. She was the ECC Coach of the Year and the DI Coach of the Year in Ohio.

Maria Drapp, Mercy McAuley: Drapp was tops in the Girls Greater Catholic League with 1,123 assists and 58 aces. The senior also posted 245 digs, 94 kills and 32 blocks. Her 3,564 career assists are third-most in OHSAA history. She was the GGCL Player of the Year and was named to the All-Ohio first team.

Sam Gagnon, Mercy McAuley: The Ohio DII Coach of the Year led the Wolves to a 25-4 record, including a 6-2 mark in league play, and their first state championship.

Julia Hunt, Holy Cross: She was named the Ninth Region Player of the Year and Kentucky Ms. Volleyball. Her 658 kills were second-most in the state. Hunt also had 286 digs, 114 blocks, 83 aces and 15 assists.

Andrei Khudiakov, Mason: He was named Ohio player of the year. He led the Comets in scoring and helped the team to a 4th-place finish this season.

Adam Livingston, Mason: In his first season coaching water polo, Livingston turned Mason into a winning team. The Comets were fourth in the state this season and had a regular season record of 20-5.

Girls water polo

Player of the year

Anne Wessinger, Sycamore: Wessinger led the Aviators’ offense all season culminating in a second-place finish at the state championships. Wessinger had a strong performance in the Aves's last win of the season and her penultimate high school game, she had 10 shots, four goals and forced three turnovers against Mason.

Coach of the year

Isabel Engle, Sycamore: In her first year as head coach, Sycamore alumnus Engle brought the program back to life. The team finished second in the state and had a regular season record of 18-7.
