Once again, Indiana just couldn't quite get over the hump.

After leading late before falling at Minnesota in their last game, the Hoosiers jumped out by 13 in the first half at Iowa on Tuesday night, and stayed on top all the way until the final 2:10 of regulation. They eventually fell 96-90 in overtime.

Below is an instant rewind of the game in chronological order.

8:50 p.m. ET: Starting lineups are in. Hoosiers are back to rolling with Josh Newkirk, Robert Johnson, James Blackmon, De'Ron Davis and Thomas Bryant.

17:49 1H | Indiana 9, Iowa 0. Whoa. Hoosiers jump out to a quick nine-point lead behind 7 (!!) points for Newkirk in the opening 2:11. He's 3-for-3 from the field, making a mid-range jumpshot late in the shot clock and a three from the left wing in transition that at first looked like a heat check.

15:46 1H | Indiana 12, Iowa 2. Hawkeyes a dreadful 1-for-4 from the field with three turnovers in the opening minutes.

IU looks energized. Obviously the current pace isn't sustainable, but, Hoosiers playing hard and look good early.

Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery has already played 11 players.

11:51 1H | Indiana 22, Iowa 10. Rout still on here early. Hoosiers 9-for-15 from the field and have only committed one turnover.

7:01 1H | Indiana 26, Iowa 28. Hawkeyes still within reach here. Freddie McSwain checked in with a nice couple of rebounds for IU, but missed a couple easy shots.

4:10 1H | Indiana 29, Iowa 26. Hawkeyes trim the lead here as IU has cooled off some, making just two of its last eight shots from the field.

Jok has 8 early points for Iowa.

Halftime | Indiana 33, Iowa 22. The Hoosiers started the game 9-for-14 from the field, but finished the half just 4-for-15.

This started as a pretty fast game. Eventually, though, the pace cooled off with 33 first half possessions. Both teams are right at 1.00 points per possession.

Turnovers are nearly even now, with Iowa committing one more than IU at 8-7.

15:22 2H | Indiana 40, Iowa 33. Neither team off to a particularly good start to begin the second period, but the Hoosiers take advantage to build a seven-point lead.

Iowa is 0-for-4 with five turnovers in the first 4:38.

11:58 2H | Indiana 46, Iowa 42. Hoosiers have already picked up nine fouls this period. Johnson, Davis, Blackmon and Morgan all already have three.

The second 20 minutes continues to be some poor play for both teams.

7:33 2H | Indiana 55, Iowa 50. Iowa throws down a tip-dunk and was fouled after multiple players from IU didn't block out a rebounder.

Nevertheless, Hoosiers still lead by five.

5:46 2H | Indiana 61, Iowa 55. Hawkeyes tied it before back-to-back threes from Johnson and Blackmon put the Hoosiers back up six.

3:45 2H | Indiana 68, Iowa 64. A couple poor turnovers from McSwain and Bryant have the Hawkeyes trimming this one down.

2:25 2H | Indiana 70, Iowa 70. Hawkeyes tie it after an alley-oop in transition where no one from Indiana picks up the runner.

2:10 2H | Iowa 73, Indiana 71. The Hawkeyes now have their very first lead of the game.

:25.6 2H | Iowa 75, Indiana 74. Hawkeyes had a chance to go up four, but some solid one-on-one defense from Robert Johnson helps leads to a turnover. Newkirk in transition tries to lay it in, but was fouled.

5:00 OT | Iowa 75, Indiana 75. Iowa went to the post on the last possession and Thomas Bryant held his ground. He might have fouled - but, no call.

Overtime it is.

3:56 OT | Iowa 77, Indiana 77. Newkirk and Morgan have both fouled out for the Hoosiers now.

1:51 OT | Iowa 86, Indiana 81. Hoosiers struggling here as Green fouls Jok for the second time in extra minutes. Jok has made 18-of-19 free throws tonight.
