Injury update: Bills’ Micah Hyde, Leonard Floyd downplay any issues

The Buffalo Bills have escaped their first two games without major injury. However, there are two names to keep an eye on as this week progresses.

Late in their 38-10 win against the Las Vegas Raiders, two starters on defense exited the game: Safety Micah Hyde and defensive end Leonard Floyd. The team announced that Hyde was dealing with a hamstring injury, meanwhile, Floyd had an issue with his ankle.

Both were deemed questionable to return.

Post-win, both gave positive updates.

Per ESPN, Hyde said he was feeling “great” despite leaving the contest:

Via the Buffalo News, Floyd went a step further and said he’s going to play in next weekend’s game vs. the Washington Commanders:

The good updates from players is only one side of the ledger, though. As we’ve often seen, players will give themselves a clean bill of health when that’s not totally the case.

Both Hyde and Floyd would have already spoken to team doctors but on Wednesday the Bills will be required to start releasing their injury report prior to heading down to Washington. That’s where we’ll get the rest of the story on their health statuses.

Bills Wire will provide that an all other updates on the team throughout the upcoming week prior to kickoff against the Commanders.
