Indy 500: Starting lineup, TV schedule for Sunday's race

The 2024 Indianapolis 500 is set to run Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, barring weather.

Team Penske swept the front row in qualifying last weekend, with Scott McLaughlin claiming the pole. Defending race winner Josef Newgarden will start third.

NASCAR Cup Series points leader Kyle Larson will start fifth in his attempt to run both the 500-mile race at Indy and the Coca-Cola 600 Cup race in Charlotte later Sunday. The National Weather Service, as of Saturday morning, called for a 44% precipitation potential at race time on Sunday at IMS with chances increasing in the afternoon.

TV coverage:  NBC

Radio:  IMS Radio (102.5 FM in Nashville)

The Indianapolis 500 will be broadcast nationally on NBC. Streaming options for the race include Peacock and FUBO, which offers a free trial to potential subscribers.
