The IESA golf state finals are in Metamora. Here are the 40 Peoria-area finalists

A total of 40 golfers from Peoria-area grade schools are scheduled to compete this week at the Illinois Elementary School Association state finals at Metamora Fields Golf Course.

In all, more than 150 students from 78 schools will complete one round to determine 10 medalists and the top four teams in each of the boys and girls divisions. The girls tee off 8 a.m. Thursday and the boys at 8 a.m. Friday. There is no charge for admission or parking at the event.
