ICYMI in Mets Land: Another late-inning letdown in Atlanta
Here's what happened in Mets Land on Wednesday, in case you missed it...
Max Scherzer was sharp early, but the Braves rallied in the middle innings, and a Michael Harris II homer off of Adam Ottavino saw Atlanta hand the Mets another painful loss.
After the game, Scherzer said it was a "weird night" for him, saying he could have better executed his final 15 pitches of his outing.
Pete Alonso gave Mets fans a scare when he came out of the game after taking a Charlie Morton fastball to the wrist, but X-rays were negative, and Alonso, officially listed as day-to-day, believes he "dodged a bullet"
The SportsNite crew discussed what the Mets can do to change things up and snap out of their current five-game losing streak.
On The Mets Pod, Connor and Joe debate how much blame for the Mets' current struggles should fall on Buck Showalter.
