Hurricane Sandy forces five teams to limit access to facilities

The Baltimore Ravens, New York Giants, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins told players and non-football personnel to stay away from team facilities Monday because of Hurricane Sandy, the NFL Network reported.

The Giants and Ravens coaches and front-office personnel reportedly showed up to work and were scheduled to work at least part of the day. The Ravens announced they cancelled a fundraising event for Goodwill, which was scheduled for Monday night.

The Jets, who are on a bye this week, were scheduled to practice Monday and Tuesday. Coach Rex Ryan, however, reportedly gave the players the week off. They were asked not to return until Nov. 5.

The Ravens and Redskins cancelled their scheduled coach press conferences, instead holding teleconferences. Baltimore's is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET., while Washington's is at 3 p.m. ET.
