Prior to its second game of a twin bill, Texas Tech got a strong performance in the circle from Hoover. The right-handed hurler improved to 9-0 overall following her 83-pitch performance, which included one walk against 17 batters faced.

The Northwestern State transfer pitcher got plenty of help in the first as the Red Raiders pushed across five runs — highlighted by a Peyton Blythe triple that was the catalyst of the crooked inning.

Demi Elder and Kailey Wyckoff each finished with three RBI, while Blythe ended with one run batted in and a walk. Carson Armijo helped the cause with two RBI in the victory.

Sara Kelly tallied the lone hit for Buffalo.
