Hokes Bluff softball's combined no hitter leads Gadsden area top performers

Thursday, April 25

Sardis's Connor Lowery stuck out six batters in a 11-1 complete game win over Madison Academy.

Sardis Landon Carroll had three RBIs.

Sardis's Blaze Gerhart pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts, allowing one hit and four walks in a 5-0 win over Madison Academy to seal the sweep.

Sardis's Russ Wiggs had two RBIs.

Westbrook Christian's Dylan Rainey threw a complete game, allowing three hits in a 2-0 win over Colbert County.

Westbrook Christian's Braden Key threw a complete game allowing four hits with 10 strikeouts in a 4-2 win over Colbert County.

Boys soccer

Friday, April 26

Gadsden City's Tito Guerrero scored twice and had two assists in a 4-1 win over Hartselle.

Tuesday, April 23

Southside's Camren Thompson had two goals with two assists in a 6-0 win over Lincoln.

Southside's Sigurd Eik scored a goal and an assist.

Boys tennis

Boaz's Anderson Lambert finished in the third round of No. 1 singles Class 4A-5A bracket and in the finals of the No. 1 doubles bracket with Isaac Butler who finished in the semifinals of the No. 3 singles bracket.

Boaz's Eli Gorson finished in the semifinals of the Class 4A-5A No. 4 singles bracket.

Southside's Brody Burnett and Reid Robinson finished in the semifinals of the Class 4A-5A No. 3 doubles bracket.

Girls Soccer

Gadsden City's Ella Jennings made 15 saves in a 1-0 loss to Decatur.

Gadsden City's Anna Klaire Ashley made nine steals.

Thursday, April 25

Hokes Bluff's Lacey Grace Hall and Peyton Ward combined to throw a no-hitter against Cedar Bluff with seven strikeouts in a 13-0 win.

Hokes Bluff's Ryan Lumpkin had three hits with an RBI and run scored.

Hokes Bluff's Rylee Hill hit two doubles while scoring twice with an RBI.

Hokes Bluff's Abby Payne hit a home run with two RBIs and scored a run.

Hokes Bluff's Sophia Jackson hit a home run and a double with three RBIs and two runs scored.

Piedmont's Savannah Smith pitched a complete game shutout with 10 strikeouts in a 6-0 win over Cherokee County.

Piedmont's Cayla Brothers hit a home run.

Piedmont's Ava Pope hit a homerun.

Tuesday, April 23

Hokes Bluff's Ryan Lumpkin had three hits with two RBIs in a 15-14 win over Cherokee County.

Hokes Bluff's Makenna Bennich had two doubles, including the walk-off with three RBIs.

Piedmont's Cayce Brothers hit a home run.

Monday, April 22

Hokes Bluff's Abby Payne hit a three-run home run and stole two bases in an 8-2 win over Sand Rock.

Hokes Bluff's Lacey Grace Hall threw a complete game striking out eight batters.

Saturday, April 20

Piedmont's Savannah Smith threw a complete game with eight strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Sardis.
