Hillsdale Area Best Girls Track Rankings: Colts earn eight No. 1 spots in first edition

HILLSDALE COUNTY — It's been an eventful start to the 2024 spring track and field season.

Several teams finally found their way over to their tracks this week and put in their first times of the season. As is tradition, it's time for the Hillsdale Area Best rankings for girls track and field. This is the first edition of the list, and there will be plenty more before the climactic Area Best Meet held at Hayden Park's new track facility later in May.

Hillsdale Academy athletes dominated the first rankings, earning eight No. 1 spots. Senior athlete and Siena Heights track commit Iris Millies of Hillsdale Academy earned No. 1 spots in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. However, she is only separated by hundredths of a second from Trine Commit and Hillsdale Hornet Annemarie Moore.

Freshman teammate Lucy Cote is ahead as the No. 1 ranked hurdler. Chloe Stalhood and Pittsford senior Brooke Smith split the long-distance rankings, with Smith ranked first in the 1600 and Stalhood ranked first in the 3200. Both athletes placed second in the other respective race rankings.

Hillsdale short distance relays dominated the 4x100 and 4x200 times early this season. Field evens featured a different school at No. 1 in nearly every ranking. Check out the full results and rankings below.
