Highlights from Texas’ 49-0 rout over Oklahoma

Texas left absolutely zero doubt in the Red River Showdown on Saturday.

The Longhorns outclassed the Sooners on both sides of the ball from start to finish. Steve Sarkisian and his squad celebrated with the golden hat after the 49-0 victory.

Texas’ offense moved the ball with ease against the Sooners’ defense. Quarterback Quinn Ewers dazzled in his return, throwing for 289 yards and four touchdowns. Ja’Tavion Sanders continues to impress. The redshirt freshman hauled in five passes for 71 yards and two scores.

The Longhorns’ rushing attack was just as effective. Texas ran for 296 total yards and three touchdowns on a 5.9 yards per carry clip. Bijan Robinson paced the effort with 130 yards and two touchdowns of his own.

Two turnovers and a lack of passing game doomed Oklahoma vs. the Texas defense. Pete Kwiatkowski’s unit quickly shut down any spark the Sooners could find offensively.
