Who is the highest-paid shortstop in MLB? Corey Seager tops list -- see top 2024 salaries.

The $325 million the Texas Rangers spent on shortstop Corey Seager is already paying dividends.

Seager, who is the highest-paid shortstop in the majors, led the Rangers to their first World Series title in franchise history and was named the MVP for his heroics against the Arizona Diamondbacks last October.

Seager was the no-doubt winner of a second World Series MVP, with a ninth-inning game-tying home run in a Game 1 win, three homers overall and his crucial contributions on the field. He also won Series MVP honors in 2020 with the Dodgers.

Interestingly enough, former Gold Glove outfielder Mookie Betts slides into the top five. Betts is expected to take over shortstop this season for the Dodgers − a position he only played 16 times during his 10-year major league career.
