High School Sports: Tecumseh boys soccer falls while Adrian blanks Ypsilanti

TECUMSEH — Tecumseh boys soccer fell to Southeastern Conference White Division foe, Jackson, 3-0 on Wednesday, handing Tecumseh a fourth-straight loss.

Tecumseh (2-4, 0-2 SEC White) tried to lockdown Jackson's Jacob Chirackal, but still Chirackal broke free twice in the first half and capitalized.

Eli Neil and Benny Francis played strong defense to keep Tecumseh in the match.

Adrian 8, Pinckney 0

ADRIAN — Joey Spagnoli had an incredible night for the Maples, scoring a program-record six goals in the SEC White victory with Brady Hanosh assisting on all of them.

Nathan Wojcik had the other two goals with Spagnoli assisting on both.

Adrian is now 6-2 and 2-0 in the SEC White and has won four-straight matches.

Blissfield 10, Quincy 2

QUINCY — The Royals picked up their first win of the season on the road in a non-conference mercy.

Blissfield (1-3) had a pair of hat tricks from Sean Samuels and Blake Wood while Ethan Johnson, Matthew Wolfe, Ian Waddell and Willie Marks added goals.

Waddell added four assists while Wolfe had two and Nathan Cole added two as well. Samuels added an assist.

Miles Seiser had five saves.

Clinton 2, Jackson Northwest 1

JACKSON — The Redwolves bounced back from a 5-2 loss to Ida earlier in the week to beat the Mounties in a non-confernece matchup.

Clinton (4-3-1) was led by Mattis Riddle's goal and assist while Parker Baughey had a goal and Gabe Manchester had an assist.

Stockbridge 4, Onsted 0

ONSTED — The Wildcats dropped to 0-5 on the season after falling in a non-conference match against Stockbridge.

GIRLS GOLF

LCAA Jamboree at Clinton

SALINE — The Redwolves hosted the first Lenawee County Athletic Association girls golf jamboree and took the top spot, shooting a 194.

Clinton defeated Hillsdale (232) and Onsted (233) while Hudson and Madison didn't have enough golfers for a team score.

Kyleigh Ramos broke a program nine-hole record, shooting a 1-under-par 35 while Kaylie Livingston shot a 50, Kierra Fivenson shot a 51 and Raven Aldridge shot a 58.

Onsted's Ainsley Brezvai shot a 52 while Aubrey Shauger shot a 57, Lillian Helinski shot a 61 and Molly Kordyzon shot a 63.

GIRLS SWIMMING AND DIVING

Adrian 105, Dundee 80

ADRIAN — The Maples took care of the Vikings in a dual meet, winning nine of the 12 events.

Ella Salenbien had a big night, winning the 100-yard freestyle (55.41) and 50 freestyle (24.89) while joining Madison Betz, Alexis Fox and Allison Marks to win the 200 freestyle relay (1:48.92) and Emma Pino, Fox and Elenora Andre to win the 400 freestyle relay (4:00.22).

Betz, Andre, Pino and Marks also won the 200 medley relay (2:01.14). Andre won the 200 IM (2:23.12) and 100 breaststroke (1:12.64), Reese Beauleaux won the diving event (191.65) and Pino won the 500 freestyle (5:43.46).

CROSS COUNTRY

Onsted at Concord Invite

CONCORD — Onsted junior Emmry Ross continued to dominate the competition as she won the Concord Invite with a time of 18:25.3.

Ross' time would've placed ninth in the boys race and topped the second-place girls runner by more than three minutes.

Onsted took third overall with a score of 84, trailing Leslie (44) and Grass Lake (63).

On the boys side, junior Mitchell Hiatt took second with a time of 17:06.2, three seconds behind Michael Allen of East Jackson.

The Wildcats took sixth with a score of 170 while Leslie won with 77 points.
