High school roundup: Pinkerton girls teams prevail; Londonderry boys win
Sep. 23—Hannah Sippel scored the game's only goal as the Pinkerton Academy girls soccer team beat Londonderry 1-0 on Saturday.
Verity Ungaro assisted the goal, and Maeve Gilligan made two saves for the shutout. The Astros improved to 4-4-1.

Londonderry 2, Pinkerton 0: In Derry on Friday, Jackson Lewis scored in the seventh minute and Jacob Nussdorf added a late insurance goal for Londonderry (7-1). Nussdorf scored on a high shot that tucked inside the near post inside the final four minutes after receiving a through pass from Lewis. Lancers goalkeeper Jason Reilly made three saves, all in the second half. Pinkerton (8-1) registered three of its four corner-kick opportunities in the second half.
