HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Bourne Boys Hockey scores 10 goals

The Bourne boys hockey team scored a season high 10 goals, highlighted by freshman Cole Thomas' hat trick, as the Canalmen (8-3) beat Greater New Bedford Vocational Technical 10-0. He finished the night with three goals, and an assist, James Crowell added a pair of goals, and Griffin Kelly, Jake Roux, and Joziah DeSouza each had a goal and an assist. Ty Kelley and Landon Hope had a pair of assists.

Boys Hockey

Falmouth 2, Martha's Vineyard 1: Charlie Bardelis buried the game-winning goal in overtime to lead the Clippers (7-6) to the win over the Vineyarders (5-4-1). Travis Smith opened the scoring for the Clippers, and Martha's Vineyard sent the game to overtime with a goal in the final minute of the third period.

Sandwich 9, Cohasset 6: Chris Cardillo, Jack Connolly, Ty Creighton, and Cooper Susong, all had multiple points as the Blue Knights improve to 11-2.

Nantucket 5, Bishop Stang, 0: The Whalers win their ninth straight game, and improve to 9-1.

Dennis-Yarmouth 4, St. John Paul II 2: Max Mingo scored twice to lead the Dolphins (3-8) to the win over the Lions (3-8). Robbie McPhee and Andrew Popovich also scored for D-Y in the win. Braden Shortt and Brady Meyer scored for the Lions.

Nauset 6, Barnstable 4: The Warriors improve to (9-1-1) behind two goals from Colin Ward, and single goals from Logan Poulin, Zach Weiner and Aaron Howard. Chase Field scored twice for the Red Hawks (4-5-2).

Blue Hills 5, Upper Cape 3: Zephyn Johnson scored twice in the loss for the Rams (7-4).

GIrls Hockey

Nauset 2, Falmouth 2: Morgan Willis and Julia Kipperman scored for the Warriors (10-1-1) and finished level with the Clippers (10-1-1).

Duxbury 3, Sandwich 1: Cali Kent scored the lone goal of the game for Sandwich (4-6).

Barnstable 4, Dennis-Yarmouth 3: Kourtney David finished the night with two goals and an assist for the Dolphins (1-8-1). Riley Caruso also scored a goal for D-Y.

Boys Basketball

Bourne 76, Seekonk 40: Bourne's defense led the way, holding Seekonk to 11 first half points, as the Canalmen improved to 11-0. Nate Reynolds finished with a double-double (36 points, 15 rebounds), and Leo Andrade added 17.

Nantucket 74, New Heights Charter 68: Nantucket improves to 7-4.

Wareham 84, Nauset 53: The Warriors fall to 3-8.

Girls Basketball

Dennis-Yarmouth 60, Barnstable 37: Chloe Azoff's 31 points led the Dolphins (7-2) past the Red Hawks (7-4). Siena Lauze finished with 12, Jaylene Pires added nine, and Maeve Dolan finished with six.

Wrestling

The Cape Cod Invitational was hosted by the Sandwich Blue Knights. Bryce Blake finished second, Alanna Raygoza, Jack Steele and Henry Rockwell all tied for fourth, and overall, the team finished sixth.
