High school hockey: O'Hearn's goal gives BG overtime win; Carey notches hat trick for Londonderry

Dec. 17—Jordan O'Hearn scored at 6:46 of overtime, giving the Bishop Guertin boys hockey team a 3-2 win over Hanover on Saturday at Campion Rink in Lebanon.

The Cardinals (2-0) led 2-0 on goals by James Mantone and Isaac Idarraja before Hanover rallied behind third-period goals by Ryder Wilson and Wyatt Seelig. Jorgen Drent was spectacular in goal for Hanover with 29 saves.

The Bears dropped to 0-2, with both losses coming in overtime.

Londonderry 6, Exeter 3: Owen Carey had a hat trick, plus one assist, leading the 2-0 Lancers. Michael Maloney added two goals and an assist, Nick Bishop also scored, and goalie James Kircaldie stopped 26 shots.

Eddie Hannan, Callum Howarth and Cam Keaveney scored for the Blue Hawks (1-1) and goalie Charlie Mozina made 22 saves.

Windham 3, Bedford 1: Sam Kramer, Rocco Mancini and Nate Crowley scored and goalie Roberto Robles made 29 saves for the Jaguars (1-1).

Parker O'Toole scored for the Bulldogs (1-1) and goalie Tristan Kerr stopped 25 shots.

Manchester 4, Brady/Merrimack Valley/Concord Christian 0: At Tri-Town Arena in Hooksett, Lucas Tafe and Joey Velez scored two goals each to lead the 2-0 Kings. Goalie Cam Velez stopped 14 shots for the shutout.

Justin Doyle made 48 saves for Brady/MV/CCA.

Merrimack 10, Monadnock/Fall Mountain/ConVal 2: Eliot Medlock had a natural hat trick to lead the visiting Tomahawks (2-0) to a Division II win. Conor Dunn and Joshua Kohn added two goals each, and Merrimack also received goals from Joey Raymond, Cam Bellemore and Jackson Woods.

Girls hockey

Bishop Brady/Trinity 3: St. Thomas/Winnacunnet/Dover 2 (OT): Kensley Harris made 34 saves in the loss and Lizzy Holden and Juliana Grella scored goals for STA/Winnacunnet/Dover.

Exeter 9, ConVal 1: Ellie Tuttle and Maddie Mann scored two goals each in a season opener for the Blue Hawks. Lilyan Blood added a goal and two assists, and Riley Donahue had a goal and assist.

Also scoring goals for Exeter were Paige Karam, Sophie Young and Nora Hanlon.

Bishop Guertin 6, Concord 5 (OT): Gracie Menicci scored two goals, including the winner in overtime, lifting the Cardinals. Olivia Hamilton also scored twice for BG, and Jasmine Shattuck, Carly Green also notched goals. Ciara Fallon earned the win in net.
