High school girls lacrosse: Section 9 tournament scores, roundups and schedules
Twelve teams have earned spots in the Section 9 girls lacrosse tournament. The top seeds are Valley Central in Class A, Warwick in Class B, Goshen in Class C and Highland in Class D.
James I. O'Neill High School will host the finals: Classes B and D on Wednesday, May 22, and Classes A and C on Thursday, May 23.
In the 2023 finals, No. 1 Kingston beat No. 3 Pine Bush in Class A; No. 2 Minisink Valley beat No. 1 Warwick in Class B; No. 2 Goshen beat No. 1 Saugerties in Class C; and, No. 1 James I. O'Neill beat No. 2 Highland in Class D.

In the 2023 state playoffs, all four Section 9 champs received first-round byes and then bowed in the quarterfinals: Kingston lost to Suffern in A; Minisink Valley lost to Bethlehem in B; Goshen lost to John Jay-Cross River in C; and, O'Neill lost to Bronxville in D.
