High school football Week 9 roundup: Zeeland East stuns Mona Shores, Dux defeated
HOLLAND - The regular season of high school football is complete.
It is the final week of the regular season and several Holland-area teams are headed to the playoffs.
There were a couple of stunning performances, led by Zeeland East knocking off Mona Shores.
Here is a look at the Week 9 games:

Zeeland East 21, Mona Shores 20, OT
The Chix pulled the upset of the season with a late win over Mona Shores in overtime.
The Chix scored in overtime on a Tyler Loeb run and kicked the extra point.
Mona Shores scored but were stopped on a two-point conversion attempt.

Reeths-Puffer 14, Zeeland West 12
The Dux were upset by the Rockets in a low-scoring game.
Zeeland West got into the end zone twice but missed its conversion attempts.
The Dux finished the season 6-3 and 4-3 in the OK Green.
The Rockets improved to 7-2 and 5-2 in the OK Green.
Holland Christian 49, Unity Christian 20
The Maroons finished the season 4-5 and 3-4 in the OK Blue after the rivalry win.
Eli Boyce threw three touchdown passes in the first quarter, two two Ethan Abberger and one to Josh Bruxvoort.
Meta Hoekstra scored on an 11-yard run and Luke Michmerhuizen caught a TD pass from Boyce.
Boyce also had a 1-yard touchdown run. He was 24-for-24 passing.

West Ottawa 34, East Kentwood 22
The Panthers finished the season 4-5 but should have enough playoff points to qualify for the postseason.
West Ottawa got three touchdown passes from Connor Knapp and a near-200-yard rushing performance from Kayden Forbes.

Spring Lake 47, Hamilton 38
The Hawkeyes finished the season 4-5 and 2-5 in the OK Blue Conference.
Ben Boehm had 309 yards rushing and three touchdowns for the Hawkeyes.
Spring Lake finished the regular season 7-2 and 5-2 in the OK Blue.
GR Union 60, Holland 25
The Holland football team finished a tough season 0-9.
The Dutch again showed flashes on offense, but the defensive struggles were too much to overcome.
Schoolcraft 41, Saugatuck 21
Saugatuck finished the regular season 7-2 after the loss on homecoming.
Cass Stanberry scored on a 73-yard run. Matt Hartgerink scored on a quarterback keeper, then threw a touchdown to Brad Moorer.
But the Trailblazers trailed 27-0 at halftime and were too late to turn the tide.
