As the high school football season winds down, we attempt to pick the winners for Week 9

Which area high school football teams will win in Week 9?

Our sports staff ― Drew Markol, Tom Moore and Melissa Hanejko ― attempts to answer that question by picking the winning side of each game on the schedule.

How did we do last week?

In Week 8, we posted a combined record of 33-18, or 65 percent. For the season, we are at 65 percent (280-149).

Week 8 results: Drew: 12-5 (99-44 overall) Tom: 14-3 (98-45 overall) Melissa: 7-10 (83-60 overall)

Biggest miss: Bensalem. Everyone picked against the Owls, who defeated Hatboro-Horsham 52-20 in Week 8. It was the highest scoring game since 2014 for the Owls, who scored a total of 21 points in their first five games this year.
