Highlights: Abraham Ragland returned an interception 54 yards for a touchdown to break a 14-14 tie with 2:43 left in the first half, the Mustangs knocked off Cooper in the non-district game Friday at Shotwell Stadium.

Christian Sanchez kicked field goals of 26 and 31 yards in the fourth quarter to boost the Mustangs’ lead to 33-14 before Austin Cummins threw a 12-yard TD pass to Zavian Alexander with 1:45 remaining in the game.

Cooper’s Daniel Bray traded rushing TDs with Coronado’s Demarion Finch in the first half. Bray had two 1-yard TD runs, while Finch answered each with TD runs of 5 and 27 yards – the latter tying the game at 14 with 4:30 left in the first half.

Highlights: Bear Meng threw three touchdown passes, including 91- and 34-yarders to Derrick Evans, and Meng ran for another as Wylie won its second straight game Friday at Tarleton Memorial Stadium.

The Bulldogs had a 35-10 lead over the No. 6 4A DI Yellow Jackets after Malachi Daniels’ 4-yard TD run with 7:53 to play in the third quarter. It was set up by an Andre Gjerpe interception.

A Cash Martin pick led to a 12-yard TD pass from Meng to Riley Robinson earlier in the half.

Gafford came back to throw TD passes of 73, 32 and 34 yards to Tristian Gentry – the latter with 5:50 left in the game – to pull the Yellow Jackets within three after Gentry ran for the two-point conversion.

Highlights: Landon Hutcheson threw a 9-yard TD pass to Leyton Stone and ran for another to lead the Tigers past Abilene High in the non-district game at Wolfforth.

Drew Cox hit a 20-yard field goal to put Frenship up 3-0 with 9:22 left in the first quarter.

Segura tied the game with a 22-yard field goal 46 seconds before halftime.

The Tigers snapped the tie as Hutcheson threw passes of 42 and 9 yards to Stone – the latter for a TD with 13 seconds remaining in the half.

Brayden Henry ran 8 yards for an AHS TD, but the Eagles couldn’t convert on the PAT to trail 13-9 with 9:00 to play in the third quarter.

Hutcheson ran 1 yard for a TD with 2:43 left in the third quarter, and Segura got his second field goal, a 22-yarder, with 7:18 remaining in the game.
