Here's the latest on injury to Georgia basketball guard Justin Hill for Alabama game

Georgia basketball point guard Justin Hill could miss Wednesday night’s game with No. 22 Alabama.

The team’s leader in assists and fifth leading scorer left the Florida game Saturday with an apparent right ankle injury as he made a move towards the basket to beat the shot clock with 2:08 left in overtime in a 102-98 overtime loss.

Coach Mike White said Tuesday afternoon that he did not know Hill's availability for the 6:30 p.m. game against the Crimson Tide.

"He won't go today," White said before practice. "He didn't go yesterday. We're actually fighting some illness, too. We had a few guys that didn't go yesterday. We'll be down a few today. Hopefully, we'll be closer to full strength (Wednesday). We'll see. Opportunities for other guys."

Hill, a 6-foot senior from Houston, is averaging 9.2 points and 3.7 assists per game.

Hill scored 11 points with 9 assists with 2 steals in 36 minutes against the Gators.

Hill is fifth in the SEC in assists-to-turnover ratio at 2.52 and 12th in assists.

Freshman guard Silas Demary, a starter, is second on the team at 2.6 assists per game and third in scoring at 9.9.

"Silas is battling some stuff, too," White said. "It's that time of year and it's going around. Whoever is available we'll be ready to tip it up and compete."
