Terry Sanford football at E.E. Smith postponed, more schedule changes due to storms

Stormy weather wreaked havoc with the Week 10 NCHSAA football schedule, forcing several reschedules and postponements.

Pine Forest and Westover played their Week 10 games Thursday. The Trojans won a 10-7 grudge match over Harnett Central to break a four-way tie for first place in the All American Conference.

Another AAC tiebreaker was played Thursday, with Overhills defeating Triton 32-20. That means next week's regular-season finale between Pine Forest and Overhills will decide the league champion. Pine Forest has won the last two consecutive conference titles.

Westover defeated Western Harnett 38-0 on Thursday, giving the Wolverines a 4-5 overall record and a chance to reach .500 if they can beat E.E. Smith next week.

That week will be a short one for the Golden Bulls, whose Week 10 game against visiting Terry Sanford was postponed until 7 p.m. Monday.

Friday's much-anticipated South View at Cape Fear game, scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., has been delayed until at least 8:30 p.m. due to lightning in the area.

We will provide more updates as they become available.
