Basketball fans rejoice as the NBA Draft will happen next month, following Sunday's NBA Draft Lottery.
This year, the draft will be in two days in June, which makes for more excitement for sports fans. Even if you can't watch the draft picks at the center of the action, in New York, they will air live both evenings.
“Two nights of primetime coverage will... enhance the viewing experience for our fans and further showcase the draftees," Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars said in a release published in January.

When is the 2024 NBA draft?
The 2024 NBA draft is on June 26 and 27 in New York.
This year, the draft will be held in two different rounds—the first is June 26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn; and the second round is June 27 at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York.
Where to watch the 2024 NBA Draft
The first round of the NBA Draft will air on ABC, ESPN and the ESPN App and the second round will air on ESPN and the ESPN App, according to the NBA website. The coverage will start on both nights at 8 p.m.
"ESPN’s presentation of the second round will include a comprehensive review of the first round and in-depth storytelling about the draftees," the website states.

How much time will there be between NBA Draft picks?
There will be five minutes between draft picks in the first round and four minutes between the draft picks in the second round, according to a release.
“Based on feedback about the NBA Draft format from basketball executives around the league and my own experience in draft rooms, we believe that teams will benefit from being able to regroup between rounds and having additional time to make decisions during the second round,” Dumars said.
