Heat sign undrafted center Orlando Robinson to Exhibit 10 contract
Former Fresno State center Orlando Robinson on Thursday signed a contract with the Miami Heat after going undrafted last month.
Robinson was named to the All-Mountain West first team after averaging 19.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 blocks and one steal last season. He became the third Bulldogs player to earn first-team honors since the program joined the Mountain West in 2012.
The 7-footer reportedly signed an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. He is expected to have the opportunity to compete for one of two open two-way contract spots throughout the summer and in training camp.
Robinson played with the Heat in the California Classic, averaging eight points, six rebounds, 1.3 steals and one assist in three games. He produced his best game of the event on Sunday with 10 points, five rebounds and four steals.
He is expected to compete in the upcoming Las Vegas Summer League as the Heat begin play on Saturday against the Boston Celtics. He will join the likes of Nikola Jovic, Omer Yurtseven and Marcus Garrett among others.
