Hear the call: Atlanta Braves tie NLDS 1-1 with game-winning double play

The Atlanta Braves managed to pull themselves out of a potentially devastating 2-0 hole on Monday night.

Despite not recording a hit until the sixth inning when the team faced a 4-0 deficit, Atlanta defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 2 of the National League Division Series, 5-4. It was enough to draw the series score even as the two teams head north to Philadelphia.

Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler was dominant, allowing just one hit and one (unearned) run through six innings before conceding a two-run home run to former Mets teammate Travis d'Arnaud in the seventh. The Braves eventually managed to take the lead with two outs in the eighth inning when third baseman Austin Riley hit a two-run blast on a full count off of Jeff Hoffman, Philadelphia's third pitcher of the night.

Then, in the top of the ninth inning, with Bryce Harper standing on first base with one out, right fielder Nick Castellanos drilled a ball toward the gap in right-center field. What happened next was one of the most stunning plays in recent postseason memory.

Center fielder Michael Harris II tracked the ball perfectly, leaping against the wall to secure the fly ball on the warning track. Harper had taken off and was rounding second base before having to turn back around to avoid getting doubled off.

Despite a Harris throw that missed shortstop Orlando Arcia's glove, Riley came through with the heroics again, backing up Arcia and throwing out Harper at first to complete the double play.
