Hartwick women's lacrosse takes home 16-4 win in Florida

Mar. 20—The Hartwick women's lacrosse team took down Western New England 16-4 Thursday in Panama City Beach, FL.

The Hawks took an 8-2 lead into halftime and never looked back.

Kristen Vaccarelli led the way with seven goals and two assists while Katrina Marten scored six goals, Kara Anderson scored two and Claudia Pollaro added a goal in the win.

Brooke Lynett tallied six saves while Alexa Patrakis added five for the Hawks.

Hartwick improves to 4-2 and will host St. John-Fisher next Friday to open Empire 8 play.

Utica 15, SUNY Oneonta 5

SUNY Oneonta fell to Utica 15-5 on the road Thursday.

The Red Dragons found themselves trailing 5-1 after the first quarter and were unable to recover from the deficit.

Lauren Mancini tallied three goals while Margaret Byrne and Marissa Evans added a goal apiece in the loss.

Courtney Gallagher and Julia Hawkins each had four saves for Oneonta.

Oneonta falls to 1-4 and will host Geneseo Saturday to open SUNYAC play.

Hartwick 14, Worcester State 13 (Tuesday)

Hartwick held on to defeat Worcester State 14-13 Tuesday in Panama City Beach, FL.

Vaccarelli led the way with six goals while Anderson added four goals, Hanna Goodreau scored a pair of goals and Elle Stringer and Pollaro each scored once in the win.

Lynett and Patrakis tallied eight and seven saves, respectively for the Hawks.

MEN'S LACROSSE

Rivier 12, Hartwick 6 (Wednesday)

The Hartwick men's lacrosse team fell to Rivier 12-6 on the road Wednesday.

The Hawks entered halftime tied at four but the Raiders outscored them 4-1 in the third quarter and pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Liam McManus scored a pair of goals while Seth Bello, Colby Simonetti, Thomas Cortelli and Tyler Nocito each scored in the loss.

Chris Andersen tallied 10 saves for the Hawks.

Hartwick falls to 2-4 and will visit Eastern University Saturday.

SUNY Delhi cruised to an 11-1 win over St. Joseph's- Long Island Tuesday on the road.

Benjamin Moscatiello, Chris Lazazzaro and Jackson Murphy each scored a pair of goals while Kyle Brogan, Greg Junge, Joe Anfuso, Jagger Beachak and Dylan Fuentes each scored in the win.

Mike Triolo had five saves while Matt Mulrooney added three for the Broncos.

Delhi improves to 7-1 and will host SUNY Cobleskill Saturday.
