Halftime report: Clemson leads Florida State by two scores

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers end the first half with a 24-14 lead over Florida State on the road at Doak S. Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.

Florida State struck first on their first drive of the game as the Clemson defense is getting tested for the first time all season on the ground. Up 14-7 at one point, the Seminoles’ offense heads into the half with a shocking 139 rushing yards on the Tigers’ defense. A big Myles Murphy strip sack kept things from getting any worse.

Clemson starting quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has the Tigers’ offense moving efficiently on the offensive side of the ball. The team’s first score of the game came from their longest play of the season as Uiagalelei found Antonio Williams for a 59-yard touchdown pass down the sideline. Uiagalelei has three total touchdowns tonight.

Starting running back Will Shipley has been heavily involved so far tonight. The offense centered around him, as the sophomore had 15 touches for 105 yards in the first half.

It is Clemson who has momentum heading into the second half.
