The Hagerstown Flying Boxcars’ inaugural baseball season begins April 25
In just a little over six months, the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars will make their debut in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
The Flying Boxcars’ inaugural season schedule of 126 games was announced on Thursday.
The team will open the 2024 season with a seven-game road trip, facing the York Revolution (April 25-28) and the defending league champion Lancaster Barnstormers (April 30-May 2).

The Flying Boxcars’ first homestand will begin on May 3 with a three-game series against the Long Island Ducks at the new 5,000-seat Downtown Hagerstown Ballpark, which is under construction off Summit Avenue.
“The release of the 2024 schedule is an exciting moment for the Flying Boxcars and our fans,” said David Blenckstone, the Flying Boxcars’ general manager, in a news release. “We can’t wait to move into our new downtown ballpark and bring minor league baseball and affordable, fun, family entertainment back to the Hub City.”
The Flying Boxcars’ regular season runs through Sept. 15.
Game times and promotions are still to be announced.
