Four local girls battled with well-honed skills to bring honor to the Bartlesville Gymnastics Club.

The quartet made their impact at the Level 8 Region 3 competition, which pitted girls from seven states against each other — Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Arkansas, New Mexico and Wyoming.

Of the four BGC standouts, Kinlee Littleford cast perhaps the biggest shadow. She placed in the top 10 in all four events — vault (9.4, 4th), bars (9.6, 2nd), beam: 9.1 (6th) and floor (9.35, 6th). Her All-Around score was 37.45 — good for fifth.

Nicole Lickliter placed in two events — the vault (9.15, 4th) and the floor (9.2, 6th). She came in seventh All-Around (34.55).

Lyndsey Lief floated gracefully on the beam to earn third place (9.5).

Claira Blazic recorded 34.2 in All-Around.

“These young athletes did such a great job this season,” BGC Executive Director Lorrie Bertolet said. “They were up against some really great athletes … and they held their own. We could not be more excited about their gymnastics future.”

The four standouts will be training in the offseason to move up to Level 9, Bertolet continued.

“These girls have what it takes, the drive, the self-motivation to reach their goals and be the best that they ca be. I’m super proud of the Bartlesville Gymnastics staff. They have outdone themselves again.”
