Memphis Grizzlies forward JaMychal Green underwent surgery on Saturday morning after breaking his jaw on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks, the team announced on Saturday afternoon.

Green apparently suffered the injury after taking an elbow to the face in the third quarter of their 113-117 win against the Hawks in Memphis, the Grizzlies’ home opener. Green had six points and five rebounds in the game.

According to Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com, Green will miss about one month while recovering from the injury.

The 28-year-old, who is in his fifth season in the league, averaged 10.3 points and 8.4 rebounds in 55 games for the Grizzlies last season.
