Greg Norman, wife accused of negligence in civil sexual assault lawsuit in Florida

LIV Golf chairman Greg Norman and his wife have been named as defendants in a civil suit in which a Florida girl claims she was sexually assaulted at a party Norman's stepdaughter hosted.

According to ESPN, the civil complaint alleges that Norman's wife Kirsten provided the underage girl with alcohol at a pool party in September 2021 at the golf legend's Palm Beach County, Florida home. Norman's daughter and the girl were classmates at the time.

The girl, identified as Jane Doe, was "incapable of standing on her own," the suit says, and was sexually assaulted by two other people at the party.

The girl and her parents are suing Norman and his wife for negligence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and are seeking more than $50,000 in damages, according to the complaint. "Defendants breached their duty of care by not safe-guarding or preventing injury to Jane Doe's health and well-being, including, but not limited to, abusive conduct by other minor invitees resultant in part from the provision of alcoholic beverages to the minor invitees," it said, according to ESPN.

Norman could not be reached for comment.

The lawsuit was first reported Friday by The Daily Mail.
