Green Bay Packers propose adding fitness center, retail building to Titletown development

ASHWAUBENON – The Green Bay Packers think a fitness center and retail building would be a good fit to fill some of the empty space remaining in the Titletown District.

The proposal will go before the Ashwaubenon site plan review committee at 3 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Village Hall, 2155 Holmgren Way.

The plan calls for a two-story, 46,048-square-foot building east of the US Venture office building and connected to the Titletown Podium. The podium is the platform on which the office building sits. Underneath is enclosed surface-level parking.

The proposal envisions a fitness center and two food and beverage establishments, such as a restaurant and café, or other retail businesses. A cost of the project was not disclosed.

"Titletown Development is in the process of finalizing plans for the latest building to be constructed in Titletown," said Aaron Popkey, director of public affairs for the Packers. "Titletown Development is looking forward to completing plans and announcing details later this fall."

Another area along Lombardi Avenue, between the US Venture building and The Turn restaurant, remains for additional development. The approximately 2-acre site would allow for 80,000 to 120,000 square feet of development.
