Grand Canyon women's soccer team falls to USC in first round of NCAA Tournament

Making its first NCAA Tournament appearance, Grand Canyon's women's soccer team traveled to USC and lost 6-0 on Saturday.

USC of the Pac-12 wasted no time asserting itself, scoring three goals in the first nine minutes.

The six goals matches a USC postseason record.

Croix Bethune had three goals and an assists in a 4-0 first half.

GCU clinched an automatic NCAA Tournament berth by winning the Western Athletic Conference Tournament with a 3-0 win over Utah Valley.

The Antelopes finished 16-4-2 in Chris Cissell's second season as head coach.
