GOLF: IUK's Williamson wins Fall Preview

Oct. 4—DANIELS, W.Va. — IU Kokomo sophomore Hayden Williamson won the individual title in the River States Conference Men's Golf Fall Preview at Glade Springs Resort. The 36-hole tournament concluded Tuesday.

Williamson, a former Maconaquah standout, beat Midway's Jack Bedell in a playoff for the title. Williamson was leading after the first day with an even-par 72 with Bedell opening up with a 75. The second day had the players reverse scores to both end at 3-over 147.

IU East took the team title. IU East beat Rio Grande in a playoff after the teams tied at 608 through the two rounds. West Virginia Tech was third at 610 and IUK was fourth at 615. There were 12 teams in the field.

IUK's Corbin Robinson finished in a five-way tie for eighth place and Drew Wagner was part of a four-way tie for 21st. Robinson had rounds of 75 and 77 for a total of 152 and Wagner shot 79-78—157.
