Girls Soccer All South-Central League teams announced, plus, Fan's Vote winner named
The end of the 2024 Pueblo girls soccer season has arrived and with that comes the announcement of the South-Central League all-league teams.
Each year, S-CL coaches will get together and vote for these teams based on the performances they saw first-hand on the field.
This year's MVP of the S-CL is Katie Peterson of Pueblo West. Peterson helped lead the Cyclones to the playoffs this season. She finished the season with 16 goals and 4 assists. Pueblo County’s Pierson Wiemer was named the offensive MVP and the defensive MVP went to her teammate Zoey Stupnik.
The rest of the individual awards went to Pueblo County's goalkeeper Alora Spence, who claimed her fourth straight GK of the Year award in the S-CL, and to new head coach Jamie Adams, who took home Coach of the Year.
Also this year, The Chieftain polled the community for the first-ever fan vote for the player of the year. Player nominations were based on suggested players from players-to-watch lists submitted by the coaches throughout the season.
Here are the names for the All S-CL teams and the Fan's Choice Player of the Year.
