Girls basketball roundup: Dansville, Perry, Olivet, St. Johns among winners

DANSVILLE — Megan Zeitz led all scorers with 16 points while leading the Aggies to a CMAC win over Laingsburg. Izzy Joseph added 10 points for Dansville (6-2, 5-1). Lilli Morrill had nine points and Callie Clark scored eight points for the Wolfpack.

PERRY 42, POTTERVILLE 36

Abigail Cochrane had a game-high 20 points for the Ramblers in their CMAC win over Potterville. Ruby Simon added 12 points for Perry. Aubrey Gasch had 17 points and Emily Cates finished with 11 points for Potterville.

OLIVET 47, LAKEWOOD 25

OLIVET — Olivea Gessner finished with 19 points and four steals to lead the Eagles in their CAAC White win. Emmalie Letts added 11 points, five rebounds and three steals for Olivet (5-4, 4-1). Cadence Poll had 10 points to pace Lakewood (5-5, 3-3).

ST. JOHNS 59, WAVERLY 51

DELTA TWP. — Rachel Jackson scored 12 points to push the Redwings to a nonleague road victory over Waverly (4-4). Lily Sackrider notched 10 points and grabbed six rebounds and Maddy Robinson and Isabel Thelen each tallied eight points and had eight rebounds for St. Johns (6-4).

LANSING CATHOLIC 59, IONIA 8

IONIA ― Senior guard Tessa Roe had 14 points to help the Cougars record a fourth straight victory with a CAAC White win over Ionia. Anna Richards added on 10 points for Lansing Catholic (6-3, 5-0). Aubree White finished with a team-high six points for the Bulldogs (3-5, 1-4).

PORTLAND 72, CHARLOTTE 26

PORTLAND — Malia Thelen had a game-high 20 points to help the Raiders record a CAAC White win over Charlotte. Summer Stopczynski added 13 points and Kayla Weber finished with 10 points for Portland (9-1).

FOWLERVILLE 62, EVERETT 24

Tommi Kleinschmidt had 12 points and Mariah Kirby contributed 11 points for the Gladiators in a nonleague win over Everett.

EATON RAPIDS 52, SEXTON 18

EATON RAPIDS — Elle Lorente had 23 points to pace the Greyhounds in their CAAC White win. Ralena Jackson led Sexton with 14 points.

OKEMOS 62, DURAND 37

OKEMOS — Maya Kiyak led all scorers with 17 points to propel the Wolves to a nonleague home victory over Durand (5-7). Elizabeth Schafer finished with 13 points for Okemos (4-4).

MORRICE 42, BYRON 37

Aubrey Rogers had 19 points, nine rebounds and five steals and Ady Balsley had 15 points, seven steals and six rebounds for the Orioles in their victory.

SWARTZ CREEK 54, CORUNNA 40

SWARTZ CREEK — Aubrey Rosser tallied a team-high 10 points for the Cavaliers in a nonleague loss to Swartz Creek (4-6). Kaylee Owens and Gracie Termeer each tacked on seven points for Corunna (1-8).

CLARE 51, ITHACA 36

Libby Maurer had 13 points to lead the Yellowjackets in their setback. Ivy Davenport and Emma Polash each added nine points for Ithaca.

FLUSHING 50, OWOSSO 41
