The season opens Dec. 14. Here are our girls basketball Preseason All-Shore teams:
PRESEASON ALL-SHORE FIRST TEAM
Devyn Quigley, Manchester, Sr.
A complete bucket getter who’s committed to play at NC State next year. If she played anywhere close to the season she had last year as a junior then she will reach 2,000 points this winter. She finished with a conference-high 977 points and averaged 34.9 points and 11 rebounds a night last year. Quigley shoots a career 80% from the charity stripe, has 637 rebounds, and is a steal shy from 200 total. The 5-foot-11 guard also finished the season first team All-Shore.
Nina Emnace, Trinity Hall, Sr.
A 5-foot-6 senior and 1,000-point career scorer in just three years at Trinity Hall. She’s going into the season with 261 steals and 112 long range jumpers in just 62 games. Already a Harvard commit, she averaged 19.5 points a game last season and was first team All-Shore. She’ll be back this season looking duplicate another impressive postseason run.
Jada Lynch, St. Rose, So.
Lynch may become a household name before she graduates. The sophomore is on pace to become a 1,000-point scorer before she even becomes a senior. Through 27 high school games the 5-foot-11 guard grabbed 165 boards, dished out 56 dimes, and stole the ball 52 times. Last season she averaged 13.1 points, six rebounds and finished first team All-Shore.
Tessa Carman, Red Bank Catholic, Jr.
A 5-foot-11 junior who plays multiple positions and does it proficiently. Through two seasons she put up 444 points, 253 boards, and 38 blocks in 56 games. A second team All-Shore player who will look to take that next leap in her game this season for RBC.
Eli Clark, Ocean Township, Sr.
The 5-foot-8 Clark is going into her senior season and will be asked to score on all three levels once again. Through her first three seasons she has 693 points, 228 rebounds, 268 assists and 150 steals. The Le Moyne College commit also finished second team All-Shore last year.
