Giants upset Seahawks in Seattle behind Colt McCoy, run game and tough defense

Joe Judge’s Giants are the real deal.

With Colt McCoy at quarterback, the NFC East-leading Giants toppled the mighty Seahawks in Seattle, 17-12, on Sunday to record their fourth straight win.

Big Blue bullied the Seahawks with their run game on offense. Wayne Gallman rushed 16 times for a career-high 135 yards, and Alfred Morris scored both Giants touchdowns, one rushing and one receiving.

Coordinator Pat Graham’s defense flustered Russell Wilson like few can, led by Leonard Williams’ two-and-a-half sacks, turnovers forced by Niko Lalos and Darnay Holmes, and a final Hail Mary batted down by corner James Bradberry.

The Giants (5-7) entered the weekend already atop the NFC East thanks to a tiebreaker with Washington, but now they stand atop the division outright — at least until Washington (4-7) plays the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday afternoon.

This is just the Giants’ second four-game winning streak since 2013 and their first since a six-game win streak Weeks 6-12 of 2016.

That was also the last time the Giants made the playoffs.
