Giants sign OT Garrett McGhin, waive OT Kamaal Seymour

The New York Giants continued their early training camp roster tinkering on Wednesday evening by signing offensive tackle Garrett McGhin.

The 6-foot-6, 302-pound McGhin originally signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent out of East Carolina following the 2019 NFL draft. He’s also had stints with the Carolina Panthers (2019), Jacksonville Jaguars (2020-2021) and, most recently, the New Jersey Generals of the USFL.

General manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll obviously have some familiarity with McGhin from their time in Buffalo. The 26-year-old actually made two stops there (2019, 2020).

McGhin has appeared in only two NFL games with both of those coming in 2019 as a member of the Panthers.

In order to make room for McGhin on their 90-man roster, the Giants also waived offensive lineman Kamaal Seymour with a failure to disclose physical condition designation. He had been signed earlier this week.

In addition to McGhin, the Giants also worked out offensive lineman Tyree St. Louis, and linebackers Jordan Evans and Austin Calitro. None of the other three were signed.
