GHS anglers advance to state bass tournament
Apr. 22—Four Godley High School students qualified for state competition hosted by the Texas High School Bass Association following the regional contest on April 20, 2024, at Possum Kingdom Lake.
Overall, Godley finished 16th among over 80 schools entering the regional event. Placing were two teams — Blane Applegate with partner Camden Darder and Owen Dickson with partner Braeden Gregg.
The state championship will be May 31 and Jun. 1 at Lake Conroe.
Founded in 2014, THSBA provides a venue where high school students have the opportunity to compete in organized tournaments while establishing strict guidelines and academic standards that will allow our student anglers to excel in the classroom and on the lake.
