Georges St-Pierre to compete in grappling at UFC Fight Pass Invitational: ‘I’d like to feel the adrenaline again’

LAS VEGAS – Georges St-Pierre is back – well, sort of.

The former UFC middleweight and welterweight champion announced his return to competition on Thursday evening in the UFC Fight Pass special announcement, part of the UFC’s International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

No opponent for St-Pierre was revealed, but the event will go down Dec. 14. It will be a no-gi jiu-jitsu match.

“I felt at the end when I retired, I was training, but I needed something,” St-Pierre said during the announcement. “I liked the kick of competition, I’d like to get it back, and I’d like to feel the adrenaline again. It’s also an avenue from fighters who still want to compete and make money and have fun with the fans and the family of the UFC.”
