Garrett Crochet records two strikeouts in fourth 2022 spring training appearance
Former Vol and Chicago White Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet recorded two strikeouts Monday in a spring training game.
Crochet pitched one inning against the Padres at Camelback Ranch–Glendale in Phoenix, Arizona. He recorded two strikeouts, while surrendering three hits (one home run), two runs (one earned run) and did not walk a batter.
San Diego defeated the White Sox, 9-8.
The former Vol has recorded seven strikeouts in 4.0 innings pitched during spring training.
Crochet was drafted by the White Sox in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft, selected with the No. 11 overall pick.
He played for the Vols from 2018-20, appearing in 36 games. The former Vol was 10-9 and recorded 149 strikeouts during his career at Tennessee.
