Notes: UND outshot Manitoba 25-2 in the first period, but unable to get one past Bisons goalie Kolby Thornton, who vomited in his crease near the end of the first period. . . UND drew three Manitoba penalties in the first. Two were drawn by Jayden Perron. . . Louis Jamernik V led UND in shots in the first with four. Jake Livanavage had three. . . Ludvig Persson didn't see a shot in the opening 10:28 of the game. UND was outshooting the Bisons 17-0 at that point.
UND 1, Manitoba 0 — Jackson Blake (Riese Gaber) :14 (pp). It took until Shot No. 26 for UND to get one to go. Skating on a four-on-three power play, Riese Gaber and Jackson Blake connected on a switch play. Gaber skated from the left circle to the top, switching spots with Blake. Then, the captain fled Blake, who one-timed it past goalie Kolby Thornton.
UND 2, Manitoba 0 — Owen McLaughlin (Jackson Blake, Logan Britt) 1:37. Blake circled the net on his backhand side, flipped a pass to the high slot and McLaughlin snapped it past Thornton for a second goal in the span of 1:23.
UND 3, Manitoba 0 — Jayden Perron (Abram Wiebe) 4:49. Perron skated up the left side with speed, torched Manitoba defenseman Brandon Casey and flipped a puck into the corner of the net.
UND 4, Manitoba 0 — Jackson Blake (Keaton Pehrson, Jake Livanavage) 9:48. UND adds to the lead when Pehrson snaps a shot from the right point that Blake tips into the net. It's Blake's second goal and third point of the net.
UND 5, Manitoba 0 — Jackson Kunz (Bennett Zmolek, Logan Britt) 10:01. Kunz, who sustained an injury Tuesday in a team scrimmage, shows his hands are just fine. Kunz splits Manitoba's defensemen, dekes the goalie and roofs one.
UND 6, Manitoba 0 — Jayden Perron (Owen McLaughlin, Hunter Johannes) 11:30 (pp). Perron continues his excellent debut in a UND jersey by ripping a wrist shot to the high blocker side of the net for a power-play goal.
