FSU softball score updates: Follow live from NCAA softball tournament vs Auburn
The Florida State softball team plays Auburn today for a shot at advancing to the next round of the NCAA softball tournament.
FSU (44-14, 19-5 in ACC), the No. 15 seed in the NCAA tournament, got here by beating Chattanooga 3-2 on Friday and beating UCF 5-1 on Saturday after a lengthy rain delay. Auburn (overall 29-20-1, 9-15 in SEC) lost to UCF on Friday before beating Chattanooga 9-0 in an elimination game and then the Knights 2-1.
If FSU/Auburn wins Sunday afternoon, the two will play again later Sunday. The team that avoids two losses in regional play will advance to the NCAA super regionals to face the winner of Oregon-Oklahoma in a best-of-3 series. The winner of that series moves on to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
