The Florida State baseball team concludes its regular season with a doubleheader today against Georgia Tech.
No. 10 FSU (38-13, 15-11 in ACC) won Thursday in the first game at Dick Howser Stadium since it was damaged in last week's tornadoes that blew through Tallahassee. Cam Smith was one of three Seminoles to hit solo home runs, while Max Williams sealed the 8-3 victory with a two-run double in the eighth. Jamie Arnold went 6⅓ innings, giving up three runs on 11 hits and two walks while striking out six.
The Seminoles and Yellow Jackets will play a doubleheader Friday. The probable starters for Game 1 are Carson Dorsey (4-3, 4.28 ERA) for FSU and Cam Jones (3-1, 5.04 ERA) for Georgia Tech. Dorsey has been filling in for the injured Cam Leiter and Conner Whittaker, and he lasted just 1⅔ innings in his last start at Pittsburgh. Jones has gone four innings in his last two starts, giving up a total of nine runs.
